HPV Vaccine Uptake (NCI)

Edit this workspace

In September 2014, the National Cancer Institute awarded 18 administrative supplements to NCI-designated centers to promote collaborations between NCI-designated cancer centers and state/local cancer coalitions and HPV immunization programs.  The short-term goals for this one-year supplement are to conduct an environmental scan, and develop/enhance linkages with existing coalitions and programs, with a focus on HPV vaccination uptake in pediatric care settings. The long-term goals are to utilize enhanced collaborations to develop or expand applied research to increase HPV vaccination uptake, in response to the President’s Cancer Panel (PCP) February 2014 report “Accelerating HPV Vaccination Uptake: Urgency for Action to Prevent Cancer.”

The goal of the HPV Vaccine Uptake measures working group is to identify which measures each Cancer Center is using, and to determine comparability of measures across all Centers for use in current and future studies.
